Icarus makes some very interesting frames, truly unexpected designs. The Icarus framebuilder shared a studio with the builder who made my custom mixte, so I've seen some of his work in various stages of completion. The direction a frame would take, even if it started out looking "normal" was always a surprise. If Salvador Dali made bicycles, they might have looked like what Icarus makes.Velouriahttps://www.blogger.com/profile/00359329171411037482noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-7924920310995639849.post-80895186613784562632010-11-18T13:03:54.443-05:002010-11-18T13:03:54.443-05:00In the early 1980's, Rigi bicycles had the &qu...In the early 1980's, Rigi bicycles had the "split seat tube" of the frame in the photo. I wonder if it's a frame builder who's experimenting, or if these are something that are found for the public to purchase and just haven't caught on yet?G.E.http://endlessvelolove.blogspot.com/noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-7924920310995639849.post-85942333490192796832010-11-18T10:24:42.004-05:002010-11-18T10:24:42.004-05:00And it's local, from Icarus in Somerville:
