The
Groupon ad I got today? A great deal on something called "Aquabiking".
This link explains all (in French), and it looks like it was even featured in French
Cosmopolitan. Under point 5 there they explain,
with what I imagine must be hyperbole with regard to her cellulite, that riding a bike underwater burns twice the energy of riding an ordinary bike. In addition the touch of the water helps improve drainage and blood flow.
All this may be true, but these people aren't
going anywhere! Well, as they say here "
À chacun son goût" (to each their own).
I think this would be more fun: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=5rUaWj6Xk70
ReplyDeleteBut think of all the bearings to rebuild. Ugh.
20-30 bottom bracket changes and repacks a day(ish) Gi's a job I can do that. Discount rates for south of France or Italy offered.
ReplyDeletedr2chase I see your snow bike and raise you one Ms Skelton machine: http://www.dailymail.co.uk/tvshowbiz/article-2082221/Helen-Skelton-begins-500-mile-journey-Antarctica-specially-built-ice-bike.html
Surely, this is all about the bikinis?
ReplyDeleteGlad I'm not the mechanic at that pool! Looks like most of the girls are having some fun.
ReplyDeleteA clip which joyously advocates cycling for all ages out of the water, mostly recorded in Amsterdam, “why cycle!: or "go ride a bike” : http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Ou1AvKDicxA
