A friend of mine sent a link to Rayon Jaune (in French), a new company north of Lyon, near the Swiss border, which offers these wonderful reflective scarves. As seen above, the idea is that there is a "normal" side one wears in town, and a reflective side that's meant for while one is on a bike.
The leaf print shown above is my favorite.
This dot option is my second-favorite, that's pretty wonderful.
However, I'm not sure either of them compare to these dragon vests, which may be my favorite safety-gear yet. Is it wrong to want a grown-up sized dragon safety vest? Yes, I'm a nerd.

Hey, I like the scarves and the vests! And I agree, why not dragons for adults? Certainly, no matter what pattern you pick, they are definitely a ton better than those awful looking reflective vests that make you look like a construction worker or a traffic guard!
Thanks for sharing that information about scarves! So many pretty colors and designs!
Also, a scarf worn while you ride your bike in the winter helps to keep your neck and chest warm.
Very, very cute!
I am looking forward to a time when cycling is so common, that there will be coats and hats with similar reflective properties available on the racks of regular department stores. Maybe...
I love those! I was out with my hsuband friday night and he stayed behind me ( even though he had to coast or brake to do so) and told me I wasn't too bright. I had one of those ugly vests on and even that wasn't reflective... Hrm. Anyway- I donned the vest rather than a scarf but wish I had one of those scarves then.
Or one of those vests-I'd take a dragon anyday. My kids would like them too.
I'm with velouria in that I would love reg reflective piping on my tweed coat. I might sew some on one. But the other is well super nice so I won't be touching that. Sadly both coats are army green or navy blue. Warm but dark.
those kids' vests are too cute! i so want something like them for my kids!
Great find! Thanks for posting this. I may have to make my little guys some dragon vests :)
I would totally wear a reflective dragon biking scarf!
Thanks for the great link! I'm teaching a workshop on DIY reflective clothing for cyclists next month and I've been looking for fresh inspiration for some new pieces, and there are so many gems here. I'm totally going to make a retroreflective scarf now.
