
No doubt that this entire vintage bicycle is pretty cool. However, the rear reflector was unlike any I'd ever seen before.

It looks relatively ordinary at first glance, nestled in the painted design element of the white-tipped fender, but then you see...

those are red glass beads held there, which reflect when illuminated by a flash or a car's headlights. How classic is that?

I love, love, love these. There is a company in Germany that sells new-old-stock and reproduction classic bicycle components, and they carry these. I might pick something up while I am here! : )
That is really cool- I think that I've seen vintage street signs that used the same principle of glass beads.
I love the diagonal banding on the fender too- lots of cool things going on in this bike.
Of course, there's one on ebay :)
