There's no legacy in a throwaway society...


Thanks to my friend D for alerting us to a great NPR article on Worksman Cycles. It's really worth reading but perhaps the comments are even better. (that's where I got the title for this post)

Great story and comments. The little Raleigh bicycle I ride is no longer made. Raleigh, CCM, Schwinn and several other storied names no longer represent factories; they are merely "brands" sold to makers of cheap crap who have the crap made wherever it is cheapest.

Oh, how I want one of those Worksman folders!
