Well, the "Big Dig" is basically completed and there is a long, thin park (bordered on both sides by high speed roadways) which now stretches through our downtown. I like it, but I understand how my husband can't quite relax there. Anyway, these people found it a nice place for a bike ride.

why can't your husband relax here?
High speed cars flying by him causes him unease. While they are unlikely to fly out of control and run him over were he to nap on the lawn, I can understand how he'd find it less-than-peaceful to hang out there.
The fast cars are also noisier than our slow residential traffic.
