A flower for you

pinwheel flower fixed gear bike modifications
Aww, it's monday morning and I know I've been swamped with work and life. I'm not ready to be back at work AGAIN.

For anyone who needs it on this monday morning, here's a "flower" I saw in Cambridge - it's a pinwheel attached to a fixed gear. Must be fun to ride behind this person!

Thanks for the flower this morning.

I'm with you as far as not being ready to be back at work, plus I took a fall on my bike this morning and my palms still ache from when I hit the ground. Looks as if our brief summer is over here in SF and that is part of what threw me off this morning I guess.

Thanks for a great blog -

PS
What kind of camera are you shooting with?

Ouch! Sorry about your fall. I hope your palms get better soon. SF will be gorgeous in a month, don't you fret!

I'm shooting with an old Sony Cybershot I've had for ages. A guy just offered to take my photo a couple months ago and dropped my camera on the pavement! It's gotten unreliable since then, and I was already in the market for another. Do you have a suggestion for me?

I really like the Cannon power shot A560. It has lots of options, and for guys like, automatic settings as well. I bought it about a year ago. I wonder if you can still get new ones. I noticed their new powershot is 8.0 megapixels and $178. Thats a bit pricey for me. Perhaps you could find a deal for the older model.

Palms recovering nicely, but should have ben wearing my gloves....which some people find odd as I don't wear a helmet.

Regarding the cameras:
Your shots are fine overall. I was taking a poll as mine tend to come out way too blurry unless I am perfectly still. I am shooting with a Kodak Z740 which is OK but bulky which is good in case you drop it which I have.

My wife has a Canon PowerShot SD600 ELPH which is great all around - great shots and compact size - except kinda too fragile in my opinion. Doesn't work for biking and shooting at the same time. One drop and its all over.

BTW How did the shot of you come out? Was the shot of you on your bike?

Thanks again for your blog - hope to be setting up the guys version of cycle chic blog soon.
