I love them too! I might just have to make some now.
That is NICE! What a great idea.
I once did something similar on a three-speed shifter. Instead of 1,2,3 I had small medium and larger sticker stars. I looked cool. It also felt cool because a three-speed is based around what is called a planetary gear system.

If you're local these stars are sold at Broadway Bicycle in Cambridge. Probably elsewhere too, but definitely there.
