That is seriously old school! I've seen lots of bike license plates for sale, but never one for the actual city I happened to be in. I'm impressed! (the bike was beautiful too, as was the black one parked with it)
Do you think it might be Cambridge UK? It looks like a gorgeous bike. I'm trying to decide if I want to get one of those rack-kickstands that raise the rear wheel off the ground. I'm curious if they're more or less stable than a center mounted one.

These were standard issue in the Greater Boston area in the 60's. There's one from Wellesley on ebay now. I have a pristine example from my childhood bike from BOSTON.
