His and Hers Peugeots
I was lucky enough to be conversing with a French eBay seller last week and he sent me this photo of a pair of Peugeot bikes from 1925, completely restored to the original, with the white pinstriping done by hand.
Aren't they an incredible pair of bikes? I didn't know that Peugeot had made such gorgeous city bicycles! I'd like a skirt guard and a headlight like hers please!

Those are gorgeous bikes!
I saw this Peugeot sitting at a grocery store in Portland a while back, also a beaut!

Oh Lord, those are gorgeous! I want, I want!
Those vintage ladies' bikes -- with the elegant U-frames and the dressguards woven onto the fenders -- are incredibly hard to find now, even from vintage dealers.
Drool...
Even if I could afford them, I don't think I'd even consider riding them. They're far too beautiful.
Can't help much with the skirt guard but the head lamps quite often popup on UK ebay. Search for Carbide Cycle Lamps. But be prepared to dig deep, they go for a sizable price.

Oh yes, I do want that lady's bicycle!
Notice how light and streamlined they are for the era, and the technology available.
wow. what's the gold thing?
ditto on the drool...
the ladies' peugeot reminds me: i was just looking at the electra bikes, and they have some extremely smart looking designs:
Amsterdam: Alexander Girard
and
Amsterdam Sport 9D
Obviously can't compare them to these, but still...
Ooh la la!
Great looking bikes! I like the push rod brakes. If you're looking for something local, the guys in the basement of the Cambridge Antique Market do restorations on old bikes like these.
Wow, I love them :) What a great pair of black bikes. I do like colors, but I never get tired of classic black bikes.
Yeah Mike - Andy thinks you should be like Henry Ford - you can get an ANT in any color you like, so long as it's black. When he finally places his order you can be assured, he will want black.
Shows off your gorgeous headbadges so much better.
Those bikes are fantastic!
Wow!
Gorgeous!
No more to say, but had to say it!
