The fixie subculture is pretty interesting in that it also has its own non-lycra styling. It reminds me a bit of punk or skater fashion, but not quite.

A required accessory is of course the neon orange top of a Kryptonite Evolution Mini protruding out of one of your back pockets.

Yes, interesting in that regard. I don't "get" the appeal of fixies in an urban environment with some hills and slopes, but then, I'm an old fartess.

^^ Way to show you know nothing about bikes. A fixed gear is a type of single speed. Both of them allow you to ride with only a SINGLE gear. The fact that you had to comment to clear that up (but only made a fool out of yourself in doing so), is stupid and shows that you're stupid. Go back to Suicide Girls.
